My routine hasn't updated - same exercises for weeks

Routines repeat by design at some ages. When to expect a fresh week.

On this page

Seeing the same exercises week after week is almost always the routine working the way it should, not a glitch. Your weekly routine is built from your baby's age, and in the early months the set of foundation exercises is small on purpose. Let's walk through what's normal at this stage, and how to spot the rare case where something really is off.

When repetition is normal

In the newborn months (roughly the first two months) the routine pulls from a small pool of foundation moves: tiger hold, side-lying play, gentle vestibular work, visual tracking. That repetition is the point. Babies learn movement by doing the same thing over and over, and at this stage the foundations matter more than variety.

You may also notice the routine offers a few different flows for the same week. For the youngest babies the routine view shows Gentle Flow, Active Flow, and Calm Flow. Those names describe the pacing and intensity of the session, not three sets of different exercises, so you will see the same handful of moves arranged differently. As your baby gets older, the number of exercises in each session grows (from about four moves in the newborn weeks up toward nine later on), and the week-to-week rotation becomes much easier to spot.

If the routine adds a new exercise or two as your baby ages out of a stage, that is the system advancing.

When something might be off

So when is it worth a closer look? If you are past the early weeks and the routine truly has not shifted for two or more weeks, work through this:

  1. Check the birthdate. Open Settings, find your baby in the Children section, and confirm the date of birth is right. The whole routine is derived from your baby's age in weeks, so even a small mistake in the birthdate locks you onto the wrong week.
  2. Reload the routine. The routine is calculated fresh every time the page loads, so a stale view is the most common reason a change doesn't appear. Fully close the app and reopen it, then open the weekly routine again. If you are in a browser tab instead of the home-screen app, reload the page (Cmd or Ctrl + Shift + R forces a clean reload).
  3. Account for a recent birthdate edit. If you changed the birthdate a moment ago, the new week may take a fresh load to show up. See routine week not updating after a birthdate edit.

Still stuck

If the birthdate is correct, you've reloaded, and two or more weeks have genuinely passed with no change, send us your account email and your baby's birthdate through the contact form or email [email protected]. We can look at what your account is generating and sort it out.
