Login link sends you back to the login page (Android + Gmail)

Your login link keeps bouncing you back to the email screen on Android. Keep the original Chrome tab open while you check Gmail, and you're in.

On this page

If you're on Android and the login link keeps dropping you back at the "enter your email" screen, there's a quick way out: keep the original sign-in tab open while you go check your email. Our login works as a two-screen handshake, and the Gmail app opens the link in its own browser instead of the one you started in, which breaks the handshake.

Your account is fine and you haven't lost access. It's the Gmail app on Android sending the link to the wrong browser, and the steps below get you in.

How the login is supposed to work

When you tap Sign In With Email Link on guide.babyacrobatics.com, that tab starts waiting. You'll see "Waiting for confirmation - keep this tab open while you check your email." That tab is the one that signs you in.

The email link opens a second screen titled Confirm your login with a Confirm Sign-In button. Tapping it tells the first tab "go ahead." So the link doesn't sign you in directly. It gives the green light to the tab you started in.

The Gmail app opens that confirm screen inside its own in-app browser, separate from the Chrome tab where you started. If you closed the original tab, or it timed out, the green light has nowhere to land, and you're back at the email screen.

The quick fix - keep the first tab open

  1. Open Chrome (not Gmail) and go to guide.babyacrobatics.com.
  2. Enter your email and tap Sign In With Email Link.
  3. Leave that Chrome tab open. Don't close it.
  4. Switch to the Gmail app, open the email from Baby Acrobatics ("Your Baby Acrobatics Login Link"), and tap Access your guide.
  5. On the Confirm your login screen, tap Confirm Sign-In.
  6. Switch back to your Chrome tab. It signs you in on its own within a few seconds.

Do steps 1-6 within about 10 minutes, since the original tab stops waiting after that.

This keeps everything in one browser, so the handshake never crosses apps.

  1. In the Gmail app, long-press the Access your guide button.
  2. Tap Copy link.
  3. Open Chrome from your home screen.
  4. Paste the link into the address bar and go.
  5. Tap Confirm Sign-In when the page loads.

You'll land signed in.

Turn off Gmail's in-app browser for good

If you want links to stop opening inside Gmail across all your apps:

  1. Open the Gmail app and tap the menu (three lines, top left).
  2. Tap Settings, then General settings.
  3. Turn off Open web links in Gmail.
  4. Go back to the login email and tap Access your guide. It now opens in Chrome.

Saw "Confirm Sign-In" but the first tab never logged in?

After you confirm, the page waits a few seconds. If your original tab really was closed, you'll see an Original Session Closed screen with a Log In Directly button. Tap that and it signs you in right there, no second tab needed. Same goes for the Log In Here Instead button if it appears.
