I updated my baby's birthdate but the routine is still on the old week

Routines refresh weekly. Force a refresh in a few taps.

On this page

If you updated your baby's birthdate and the routine is still on the old week, the saved birthdate is almost always fine and your device is showing you an old copy of the page. The routine week is worked out fresh from the birthdate every time the page loads, so a clean reload fixes it. Try these in order.

1. Hard-refresh the routine page

  • On a phone: pull down from the top of the routine screen to refresh.
  • On a desktop browser: Cmd+Shift+R (Mac) or Ctrl+Shift+R (Windows).

That pulls a fresh copy and rebuilds the week from the new birthdate. For most people this is the whole fix.

2. Fully close and reopen the app

If a pull-to-refresh doesn't do it, fully close the app (swipe it away, or close the browser tab) and reopen it from guide.babyacrobatics.com. If it asks you to sign in, tap Sign In With Email Link, enter the same email you bought with, and open the link we send. Then go to the routine page.

A fresh session loads everything again, including the current routine week.

3. Verify the birthdate actually saved

This is the most common real cause when the routine still looks stuck after refreshing. Here is where to look:

  1. Open the Settings page.
  2. Scroll to the Children section and open your baby.
  3. Check the Date of Birth / Due Date field. If it isn't the date you meant, fix it and tap Save.

The routine is built from this date, so the saved value has to be right before the week will move. More on this in editing your baby's birthdate.

If your baby was born early and you marked them premature, the routine also uses your gestational weeks to set a corrected age, so the week shown can sit a little behind your baby's actual age. That's the corrected age at work, not a stuck week. See premature and corrected age.

4. Still stuck after 24 hours

If the birthdate is correct, you've refreshed and reopened the app, and the routine is still on the old week the next day, email [email protected] with the email on your account. We'll sort it out.

Why this happens

There's no "current week" saved on our side to update. Every time you open the routine, your baby's age is worked out from the saved birthdate right then, and the week comes from that. So once the birthdate is correct, the right week is already waiting on the next clean load. The thing that holds onto the old week is your device showing a page it loaded earlier, which is what steps 1 and 2 clear.
