I can't edit my baby's birthdate
You can change your baby's birthdate yourself on the Settings page. Here's how, including corrected age for a baby born early.
On this page
You can change your baby's date of birth yourself, on the Settings page. There's no support ticket needed for this. The program reads your baby's age from that date to pick the right routine week and library content, so it's worth getting exactly right.
How to edit the birthdate
- Open Settings from the menu.
- Scroll to the Children section.
- On your baby's card, tap Edit. The "Edit Profile" form opens.
- Under Date of Birth / Due Date you'll see three dropdowns: Year, Month, and Day. Set each one to the correct date.
- Tap Save Profile.
You'll get a "Child profile saved successfully" confirmation, and the card updates to show the new age.
A quick note on the Day dropdown: set it. If you only pick a month and year, the program assumes the 15th, which can put you on the wrong routine week in the early months. The full day, month, and year keeps things accurate.
Fixing a birthdate you entered wrong at the start
Same screen, same steps. Open the child card, tap Edit, correct the Year, Month, and Day, then Save Profile. Double-check all three dropdowns after you save - in the first few months, even a couple of weeks' difference can shift which routine week you land on.
If your baby was born early
If your baby was premature, don't just shift the birthdate to fake a younger age. Use the built-in setting instead. In the same Edit Profile form, tick My baby was born early (before 37 weeks) and enter the number of weeks your baby was born at. The program adjusts to corrected age from there, which is what pediatric therapists recommend. More on that in setting up corrected age for a premature baby.
If the routine still shows the old week
After you save a new birthdate, the routine is built fresh from it each time you open the routine view. If it's still showing the old week right after editing, that's almost always a stale screen rather than a save problem. Pull down to refresh, or fully close and reopen the app. The walkthrough is here: routine not updating after a birthdate edit.
If it won't save
If you tap Save Profile and the change doesn't stick, email [email protected] with the email on your account and your baby's correct full date of birth (day, month, year). We'll fix it on our end, usually within a business day.
Not sure of the exact date? Your baby's birth certificate or medical records are the source of truth, not the app. Enter what those say and the program uses it.
