My card or payment failed at checkout

Why payments fail and what to try next.

On this page

A failed checkout is almost always fixable, and you won't be charged for an attempt that didn't go through. The fastest fix is to pay with a plain card: type the card number, expiry, CVC, and billing details by hand. The steps below cover that and the few checkout quirks that trip people up most. The charge runs through Stripe and shows up on your statement as "BabyAcrobatics".

It helps to know where you're paying, because that decides your options. A new Blueprint or Movement Mastery purchase happens on babyacrobatics.com, where Stripe picks which payment methods to show you. Upgrading from the Blueprint to Mastery happens inside the app and takes a card only.

Pay with a regular card

A plain card is the most reliable way to pay. Stripe Link, Cash App Pay, Apple Pay, and Google Pay can fail without telling you why, so when one of them stalls, a card almost always goes through.

  • On the babyacrobatics.com checkout, pick the card option instead of a wallet, then type the card number, expiry, CVC, and billing details by hand.
  • If you don't see the method you wanted, it isn't offered for this purchase. The ones shown at checkout are the methods you can use.

The in-app upgrade is card only. There's a "Get Movement Mastery" button at the top of the guide. Tapping it opens a window with "Card number", "Expiry", and "CVC" fields and a "Pay $198" button. No wallets or Link there, just a card.

You don't need a Link account to pay. Link is Stripe's saved-card feature, and signing up for it is optional. If the form asks for a phone number to set one up, you can skip that step.

  • Choose the card option and enter the card number, expiry, CVC, and billing details directly.
  • A plain card goes through on its own, with no account to create.

Stuck on "Processing" and it never finishes

If the page sits on "Processing" and never lands, your bank is probably trying to confirm the purchase in a verification popup (often called 3-D Secure, or a one-time code by text), and your browser is blocking it before it can open. This is common in the EU, where banks ask for that extra check more often. Chrome on Android is the usual culprit.

The fix that works is to finish the same purchase on a desktop or laptop.

  1. Open babyacrobatics.com on a computer.
  2. Start the checkout again with the same email.
  3. Complete the bank's verification step when the popup appears.

Your purchase is tied to your email, so finishing on the computer puts the guide on every device once you sign in.

If your card is declined, call your bank

Prices are charged in US dollars. A US dollar charge from another country often gets flagged as suspicious, especially the first time, and for buyers outside the US that's the usual reason a bank declines. That block sits on your bank's side, not ours.

  • Ask your bank to approve the charge from "BabyAcrobatics" and to enable international or online (card-not-present) payments on the card.
  • Run the purchase again once they confirm.
  • A debit card sometimes needs online or foreign payments switched on before it will work, so it's worth asking about that on the same call.

If you're in the EU and none of the listed methods works for you, a card with international payments enabled is the surest option. Cash App Pay is US-only, so it won't appear or go through for accounts outside the US. Still stuck after talking to your bank? Send us a note and we'll help you find a method that works.

Turn off extensions or switch browsers

Ad blockers, privacy extensions, and some VPNs break the payment form. The usual signs: the page freezes, never moves past the email step, or never loads the card fields.

  • Open the checkout in a private or incognito window, which disables most extensions.
  • Or try a different browser. Chrome and Safari both work well.

Double-check before you retry

If the charge may have gone through, or went through on the wrong amount, or you used a card you didn't mean to, stop before trying again so you don't pay twice. Email us with the receipt and we'll sort it out. A purchase that did complete is covered by the 30-day refund window if it turns out wrong.

Still stuck

Screenshot the error and send it through the contact form or email [email protected]. Tell us which device and browser you're on and what you've already tried, and we'll get the purchase through.
