I run Baby Acrobatics, a channel focused on infant movement that teaches parents how to help their babies develop motor skills. I currently make and manage all the content solo and I can't keep up with it. I'm hiring a Producer to handle the parts I don't have capacity for.
Most of the audience is on Instagram. The other platforms have grown slowly because I haven't had capacity to develop them. That's part of the job. A lot of the existing content would work as long-form on YouTube if it was adapted properly, and I also want to start posting on X.
The role
You handle everything around the content so I can focus on making it. I decide the strategy, the voice, the brand, the ideas, and the final yes on what goes out. Your job is to make sure we always have enough in the pipeline and that it gets produced and published on time across every platform.
This is where the role starts. It grows as you prove out. The more you own well, the more I hand over.
What you'd do
- 1
Run the content pipeline
Decide what gets filmed, what gets pulled from old footage, what goes where, and when. At least five posts a week, reels and carousels, plus Stories. Each one cut to fit the platform it's going on. What works on Reels doesn't land the same on TikTok. Plan a few weeks out so we're never scrambling, and watch for timing that matters, like Mother's Day or seasonal parenting moments.
- 2
Keep me on track
I come up with a lot of ideas and forget what I agreed to do. I'll say I'll film something and then not touch it for weeks. You set my filming schedule, check in with me regularly, and hold me to what we agreed.
- 3
Run the shoot days
When I film, have the shot list ready, tell me what we're covering, and make sure we got everything before we wrap. No more realizing afterward that we should have filmed something.
- 4
Manage the editors and carousel designers
Write briefs clear enough that they're not guessing, hold deadlines, review what comes back, and ask for fixes when it's off. Keep a running set of notes on what we always and never do, so the work improves over time. Replace anyone who isn't getting there.
- 5
Surface what the audience is asking for
Go through the comments and DMs and bring me what people actually want to see. I generate and pick what we make. You make sure I'm not missing what the audience is telling us.
- 6
Read my scripts before we film
Flag anything unclear, catch typos, tell me when the structure's off. You're not rewriting my voice.
- 7
Track the numbers
Pull performance across platforms. Saves and shares matter more than likes. Put it in front of me, we discuss, then I make the calls on what we do more of.
- 8
Write things down as you build them
As you set up the calendar, briefs, and publishing routine, document them so it's not all in your head and we're not starting from zero when we add a freelancer or a platform. Build it as you go, not a separate project.
Bonus
If you've got experience with brand partnerships, affiliates, or sponsored content, I'd love to lean on that. Catching inbound requests, working out which are worth my time, and teeing up the real ones. It's not a primary requirement. Content output is. But it'd be a great unlock as the role grows.
Who I'm looking for
- ✓You've produced content for a creator, founder, or brand and have specific examples to show.
- ✓You understand how content works and what does well on each platform.
- ✓You have a system for managing content production (Notion, Airtable, ClickUp, whatever you use) and can walk me through it.
- ✓You take direction once I've decided something, and you push back when you disagree. You're comfortable working behind the scenes.
- ✓You write well and reply quickly. Most of the work is async, Slack, Loom, written briefs.
Who this isn't for
This isn't an entry-level role and I don't have capacity to teach the basics.
It's also not for you if you want to build your own audience and see this as a stepping stone.
Logistics
Full-time, remote, contractor to start, paid in USD. Starting July I'm in Costa Rica (UTC-6) and need enough overlap to work together during my day. Being in Austin or Miami is a plus. I'll be in both regularly. But it's not required.
Compensation is discussed in the form.
